Tapestries is a 15-week group designed to support you in developing or enhancing skills for managing the long-term effects of sexual trauma.

The topics of this fifteen week series are:

Who are we?  What is traumatic stress?

Why does it hurt so much?

(understanding trauma reenactment)

Finding another way

(survival kills)

The balancing act

(coping with emotions)

Cultivating courage:

Moving beyond anxiety and fear

Of course you’re angry

Grieving our losses

Finding secure attachment

Your body remembers what your spirit seeks to forget

Will touch ever feel good?

Intimacy - running scared (or not)?

Talking with our significant others

The joy is in the journey

Following the successful completion of Tapestries or a similar

skill-building group, clients have the opportunity to continue this healing journey through participation in an ongoing phase two group to help integrate the skills learned in phase one treatment.

Groups are held at:

8005 Main St., Suite 4, Dexter, MI 48130
